Winter welcomes the space as the Zen Room--where yoga, Pilates, and meditation are practiced year round. But is the low light of winter and the contrasts between the whitish-gray reflections from the windows on the green foliage, that helped create a simple and pure peace in the room.
The Pilates and yoga practiced in the Zen Room comes from You Tube and video tapes (there's an old TV, VCR, and laptop set up in the corner). I would like the share with you my favorite yoga instructor - Yogea ArtFlow Yoga.
A New York City interpretive dancer created Yogea ArtFlow Yoga, which combines artistically transitioned movement among a blend of yoga styles in combination with spiritual manifestation techniques and physiological explanations. The verbal and visual instruction is without any trace of ego--an increasingly refreshing attribute I find soothing in the instruction.
Beginner, open, intermediate, and advanced routines range from 10-45 minutes and creatively match specific physical, mental, and spiritual healing queries with titles such as Migraine Relieving Yoga, Weight Loss and Sculpting Yoga, and Yoga for Joints' Health. Asana labs for learning specific poses and meditations are also featured. The videos are recorded in beautiful locations in Central Park, New York City skylines, and nearby estate rooms and grounds, with a new video uploaded every week. Enjoy this recent routine to relive stress the body and Blessing for 2016.
